40" Lifeguard Rescue Tube

Great price, great item, a must-have for anyone with a pool or other water source nearby. Item is very lightweight and is long enough to be a functional rescue tube in the event of a potential disaster. We live in S Florida where drowning is a major cause of death for toddlers. This is entirely preventable by parental vigilance and preparedness.

The red film on the tubes began peeling after being in the water one time. If you put these tubes next to other tubes, they will stick to the other tubes making it difficult to not damage the well-made tubes. Furthermore, I was denied a return even though the tunes were falling apart after touching the water. Granted I did buy in advance of our training season to be prepared (going beyond the return window), but I thought that was poor customer service. Basically we are stuck with tubes that fall apart once they hit the water which is the sole purpose in use.

I was a lifeguard for a few years, so I've used quite a few guard tubes. I ordered this one for my boat to be used as a throwable device and because these tubes are great to float on. You definitely get what you pay for with this one. This is pretty much just a bar of foam dipped in red paint with a rope attached. You can tell because there are paint drip lines, and some of it is bubbling in places. I don't have high hopes for this lasting a long time, but only time will tell. I've only used it twice so far so I will update my review once I see how it lasts.

It does float but the material gets tack very easily and peals on on other tubes or Vinyl car seats.

The bouys got stuck together and couldn't be separated.
