Jack Links Jerky, Sweet and Hot, 16 Ounce

I've had Jack Links before and bought the 1lb. bag to carry as a snack throughout the week. I bought this brand and another brand based on the reviews and I have to say the Jack Links brand is delicious, seasoned just right (not too strong, not bland either). The texture is soft, not too chewy, and you can tell the quality of the beef is excellent. My only complaint is that the flavor is "Sweet and Hot", but it's not hot at all, if anything, it's a tiny bit spicy, but I was expecting more heat. I will definitely buy again several times, even though it's a bit pricier than other brands.

Although consistency varies throughout the bag, the majority of the strips found in Jack Links Sweet & Hot Jerky are perfectly flavored and slightly moist, making it easy to go through 16 oz bag pretty quickly. I always have to keep a secret stash when I go on roadtrips so that I have some leftover for the drive back! If you've never tasted the Sweet & Hot flavor before, you're in for a real treat, especially if you like spicy jerky. It's not over-the-top hot, but just enough to give the sweet profile a little kick towards the end. Jack Link's Teriyaki flavor tends to be a bit on the salty side for me rather than sweet, so I prefer this flavor as my de facto standard for camping trips, backpacking and traveling. Perfect as a quick snack when on the go :)

My boyfriend loves this flavor and we can't find a big package anywhere in the stores! So he saw this the other day and told me about it. As we are a long distance couple right now, I went and bought it for him and had it shipped to him! He was so surprised :) he told me it was very fresh tasting and was really really good! It was nicely packaged in a really large box with the mini air pocket packaging to protect it. I'd highly recommend this if you love this flavor!

A little bit on the spicy side, but still really quite good. 1-pound is a LOT of jerky, so be sure to share with your friends and/or toss with a salad, soup, or other entrée or dish. Since the bag has a long expiration date, as long it has remained sealed originally, it will keep for a long time until it is opened. After you open the bag, you really should try to finish eating the jerky in about 3-5 days, or if you wish to store it for a longer period of time, make sure that you always reseal the Ziploc seal on the bag and REFRIGERATE the bag. It would also be a good idea to put the original bag into a second (large) Ziploc bag and seal it as well.

I love this jerky’s. I never liked jerky until I try this one here. Man o man. Will purchase more, only one thing. You will eat the whole package in one sitting.

Ordered the sweet and hot...because I've never seen it in stores. I like spicy and this is just the ticket. It had quite a few large pieces in the bag and I like the little ones...but my husband gobbled it up. This is not 5-alarm spicy...but it does have a kick. Didn't notice much "sweet" to it. I liked it a lot and prefer it over original any day. Delish!

Pretty good jerky for the money. If you are just looking for some cheap protein, this stuff is pretty good. Sure, jack links isn't the best quality jerky out there, but for the money its hard to beat. I like this sweet heat flavor too. A little spicy, but not too much.

I bought two packs of these and one of the two the product was stale. Couldn’t even eat it. The other pack was OK. I don’t think I will buy them on Amazon again it’s like a crapshoot. You never know what you’re gonna get. Then it’s a pain in the ass to send it back.
