The only reference about Project Control
This is the only book I know that covers Project Control. This discipline is not known enough as an essential link in the control and the performance of large projects. Project Control covers all aspects of cost control, schedule control, risk management. The author also proposes to add contract management. The interesting point is how Project Control Manager has to become the strategy manager of the project by looking into the future instead of just assessing the past.

Solid and practical
Good solid and practical advice. Would like to have seen more application based advice, a template or more thorough checklist would mean a fifth star. All in all, this book provides not-so-common, common sense.

Very well written book and gives lots of guidance and input to an aspiring Project Control Manager, as well as provides a comprehensive check list for a PCM currently working on EPC Projects. This book contains a variety of information, methods and procedures for new PCM to understand the significance and importance of his role on a project and how he/she should interface with the Project Manager. A PCM is the eye and the ear of the Project Manager, conveys critical information about the Project to PM on a timely manner, so that decision could be made to avert any cost increase or delay. Visibility is the key to Project Control.

Disappointed
I was expecting something more generic and adaptable to IT or other type of business. The author only relate to construction industry. It is very detailed and make the reading long,
