Works incredibly well. Chops veggies with ease....just be extremely careful cleaning. I was careful to the other degree...the blades are razor sharp...still got myself a tiny bit....remarkably well made. Have had 2 others from other manufacturer's and this one is superior in quality.

I have used this chopper about 15 times since purchasing a couple of weeks ago. I use it mostly for making pico de galo salsa, or chopping onion, peppers, herbs, tomatoes, carrots and the like. I had a previous version of this device. The exact same design except for the blade assembly. This new one is superior. I used the old one for a few years before it just got too dull. It wasn't cutting the vegetables as much as macerating them. Still, a good run for the price, so I went back to the well. The new design uses three blades rather than only two. More significantly the blades are each mounted at different depths on the shaft. By cutting through three planes it has the effect of moving the product about in the container and minimizes the need to re-arrange the partly chopped material half way through. It is fast, and VERY neat. The product is coarse or fine, simply depending on how long you crank on it. I really like this product. If I can get a couple of years out of it before it dulls I'll be delighted. Even a single year wouldn't be bad for the price. Highly recommended. Followup information. As of July 22 I am still using this device two to four times per week. It is still performing very well. The key to the longevity is to sharpen the blades. I am using the 600 grit "credit card" style honing plate. I along with the bevel of the blade several times to sharpen it and then use it flat on the back side to de-burr it. I do this after every other use and it still is going strong. Love this little gadget!!

This is a great chopper EXCEPT the handle easily comes off as it is not designed into the item permanently. Mybhusband complains all the time about the handle easily coming off. Although other then that it works great and is a great way to chopped your veggies, hearts and spices. I would definitely recommend eventhough the handle comesnoff easily.

This chopper has held up surprisingly well to a lot of usage. You need to be gentle with the handle due to its connection design, but the rest is durable. This chops anything lighter, like onions, tomatoes, mushrooms etc really well. I haven't tried extra dense things like potatoes, assuming it will be too much. Washup is easy, though I only wipe down the lid, as water can enter and remain inside the gearing mechanism. I don't see how they could redesign that to prevent water intrusion, so no worries. Bottom line, it's lasted and worked for 3 years with no issues thus far.

Cuts carrots, celery, potatoes, canned mushrooms, onions well. Keep chunks on smaller side, don't overload, don't force. Cleans up easily.

Difficult with onions to size them down.It really does not peel off the garlic outer skin.I would buy an electric model next time.

I used to have a similar chopper and was unable to find another when the old one was damaged during a move. Great for making fresh salsa. Allows you to manage the level of chopping and cleanup is a breeze!
