As a preschool teacher of 4- and 5-year-olds, I love incorporating the Melissa & Doug Nesting and Sorting Barns and Animals into our classroom activities! This set is a fantastic hands-on way for young learners to practice number recognition, sorting, matching, and fine motor skills—all while engaging in imaginative play.

These are really cute and my daughter loves them! The animals are wooden and will last forever. The barns are made from thick, sturdy cardboard. They will hold up for awhile, but I know they are going to get ripped apart eventually.

My son got these last year when he was just over a year old. He didn’t play with them so much at first, but as he got older (18+ months) he really go into them. It’s fun because they nest together, or you can line them up and put the little animals in their little “homes.” It’s fun to practice animal names and sounds, colors, numbers, sizes, etc. I’m glad he got them and has been able to play with them in new ways as he ages!

The nesting barns are a great idea in theory and as rough as kids are on toys it’s probably not a bad choice at all. The barns are not wooden and in fact covered with paper over cardboard that came to us scratched and bent and dented, etc. Again-not a big deal be it that we are giving them to a 2 year old. Still-worth saying so if you’re wanting to buy then you know. Also, the animals are random and great in theory as well. I definitely see them getting lost though before we have a chance to work on which number animal goes to which number barn

This set is well made. The barns are heavy duty thick cardboard. The wooden animals are wood and the painting of the animal is well done. Great addition to our farm unit at preschool to help with counting and one to one corresponding.

Very cute barns which are made of sturdy cardboard. The cute wooden animals are adorable. Kids can learn colours, numbers, animals etc with this. Good quality however, the barns may not stand up to rough play

Vraiment satisfaite. Encore plus beau que sur les images. J'ai été impressionnée lorsque je l'ai reçu. C'est bien fait, belles couleurs, prix abordable. Ce sont des jouets durables car fait en bois. Éducatif aussi.

Kids loved making up games with farm, number and sizing

This product is great. Easy for little hands to hold and super durable. They play well and it takes a lot to ruin or dent. This is a toy that can easily be passed down with very little wear shown

This puzzle is bulky! Takes alot of space and not much to it! Hard to store away and the barns are hard paper! The color is ripping off on the edges from first time play.
