Was a little skeptical until I saw someone else's review that mentioned the pin does not move even if you attempt to shake the door. The pin does not move on its own, at all. Even with the key unlocked, it is extremely secure in the housing. I don't think I'll ever have a need to lock the pin using the keys unless I plan on leaving town and think someone's going to use my back door to make off with my fridge. I just got this installed, took all of 10-15 minutes to install 2 locked locations; One with the door fully closed, and another with the door fully closed with my dog door installed. We got this because we have a sliding glass dog door insert and were tired of using splintery wood poles to secure the door at night. Locking and unlocking is super easy and my GF who's 5'3" can easily reach the pin. We've got a 78" tall sliding door, so the lock sits at 74" high. I think I ended up putting it a little high by about an inch. Ended up needing to drill through the 2nd top layer of the frame and into the 2x4 frame. But hey, now it's even more secure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Without the keys in the keyhole, I can open my door all the way as the lock body is thinner than the door and slides back into the empty space at the end of the track. With the keys install it hits the back. However, I was able to turn one of the plastic stops sideways, forcing the door the stop half an inch sooner, which resolved that issue.

Works good. Only thing I wish was different is if there wasn't a gap between the post and the door itself. I feel like the post should be snug up against the door, to prevent any play between the post and door. Put enough force onto it, and it could potentially leverage enough force to possibly pull out the screws.
