Q: How difficult to put clips on the lid?

They are easy to attach. The hassle is keeping up with them when you are not using them. I store the rubber rings and clips from all my jars in a little bag. Note also that you don’t always have to use the clips or rings, as the glass lids fit quite well. I store homemade yogurt in the fridge using just the glass tops. Use clips and rings when storing stacked jars of dry goods, and of course canning requires them. Another option is to get the wood top. I have that for my large jar in which I store homemade granola. It seals well and is easily removed and replaced.
