When separated, a single strand is .165 in. in diameter and together it measures .165 in. by .345 in.

Q: It says 99% copper but looks like less conductive and cheaper copper clad aluminum. . Which is it?

I assumed it was as advertised: 99% copper. There are different grades of copper, so conductivity may well vary, but like you, I was looking for a step up from copper clad aluminum. Don't know for sure if I got it, but the cable is thick and my system sounds good with it.
