Q: Can I use it to punch a hole in a sequin?

I have not tried, but I would think it would work well on typical plastic one.

Q: Is this suitable for paper fastner?

I doubt it, the hole is very tiny. I'm using it for my button cards.

IMO probably not. The hole is tiny and the tool is not all that sturdy. Sorry.

That's why I got it. It works well... the tag gun needle is just a tad bigger then the hole but it works with out ripping it. It does not tear the hole the hole punch made and looks professional.
