I disassembled part of my old chain link fence that was being replaced with an iron fence so that I could repurpose it by buying some connectors and use it to build frame for a raised garden bed. I bought these caps to close off the ends to hopefully keep water out and avoid hurting myself on the exposed ends. I haven't yet finished my project, but I can verify the 32x32 size (1-1/4in) works well for chain link top rail which I believe to be 1-3/8 rail because I've previously bought parts that size locally that fit it. In my experience with other pipe sizes, sometimes I've needed to buy the size exactly matching the pipe size and other times I've needed to buy one size down. I thought I would list my experience here in case it helps anyone looking to use these with standard-sized galvanized steel fence rail. These rails come with one end smaller for a couple inches to connect to another rail, and I'm cutting those smaller ends off, so what this fits is the larger end and any cut ends in the middle.

Perfect fit easy to use

1/2" EMT is Extruded Metal Tubing designed as electrical wiring conduit, with an O.D. slightly larger than 5/8" . It also has structural uses for outdoor use, but plugs are needed to keep the non galvanized interior from rusting or sheltering insects. These are plugs almost do the job, but fall out easily even in horizontal applications. I'll use them anyway with silicone caulk or hot glue to keep the plug in place, but I won't be buying more of them.

Price was right and I now have three spares. If the OD width of your pipe is 2", it will probably fit. Note: you should us a rubber mallet to pound it in though, because a metal hammer will probably damage it. My boat 2" trailer jack was made by Seachoice.

These were decent enough for the price, but they are too small to meet my needs. I measured precisely, but, because it is a hard plastic, it has no give. I couldn't get it mounted on the curtain rod I was trying to cover. I've had to return them and may go another route.

These worked really well on the bottom of my metal chairs. Very pleased.

An excellent choice for our wrought iron patio furniture. Other 1 1/2 inch sliders did not fit. The reason was each opening had four notches (tiny tabs) at 12-3-6-9 o'clock positions to hold the mfg sliders in. The others were rigid and would not go into the bottom. Since these were ribbed, we cut push on then finish off with a mallet. As for non-marking, we assume the mfg is correct.
