Q: What is the total length of the file from tip to tip

It is a standard nail file size that fits easily in a normal nail care case. It measures 5 1/8 inches from tip to tip. The length that is covered with the abrasive metal is 2 3/4 inches on both sides. The smooth white plastic handle is 2 inches. The smooth pointed tip for cleaning under your nails is 3/8 inches. I’ve had mine for a number of weeks now and I am very pleased with it and use it regularly.

Yes. The one I bought earlier this year has the squared handle. (The one I bought a few years ago isn't squared.)
