My kids enjoyed recording themselves sharing their favorite school activities. There is a clever switch by the battery compartment to lock in the recordings and prevent accidentally recording over what you want to keep. It takes a few AAA batteries and not annoying "button" batteries. Sturdy construction, nice layout, pockets to hold artwork and other projects -- it's got it all! This is a great way to keep treasured memories organized. I highly recommend it. It's $5 cheaper at Amazon than at Toys R Us.

Love this memory book. So neat to record a voice every year. I have them for my 2 kids and just bought 3 for my SIL.

I got this memory book for my son who'll be starting preschool next year and it has a lot of great features.It goes up to 8th grade (instead of 12th grade), which I actually prefer because I'd want something a little more in depth and mature for his teenage years. Also by the time he's in high school he'll be old enough to capture his own memories.It's a nice large size, which is one of the main reasons I chose this one. Every other page (for every grade) there is a pouch that can fit 8" X 11" size pictures, drawings, etc. This is great for large class photos. Every grade also has an area for an individual photo and there are photo slots on the cover.The content is decent. The questions are pretty basic, but the format is different for every year so it's not the same questions every time. It would be great though if there was a blank area so you can add your own questions and information.The voice recording is a cool feature. You can record your child's voice at every grade so it'll be neat to see how they change and progress through the years. The instructions for the recording are easy to follow and they're conveniently written right on the book so you don't have to worry if you forget how to do it each year. The audio quality isn't the best as it sounds a little muffled, but for the inexpensive price I consider this feature more as a bonus than a necessity.The overall quality is not the most sturdy. The cover and pages are made out of thin cardboard, which feels a bit flimsy. The plastic film for the picture slots on the cover is also thin and flimsy. I'll definitely be handling this book with care in order to preserve it for as long as possible. For the inexpensive price though (about $9 at the time of purchase) the quality is as expected.

I purchased this because I have one for my older child that was purchased years ago. It was a steep price to pay ($75!) but I wanted them to have the same book. Really disappointed in the quality I received. I took a picture of them side by side (the left is the NEW book) and the one I received today looks like it’s 30 years old. Pretty disappointed but I can’t find this book anywhere else so lucky me.

Not in the best shape. Scratches on the front and looked like it had been bent. Cheap though.

This memory book is fantastic! I purchased one several years ago for my son, and the recording feature still works. Based on the past quality, I am confident this one will work just as well for my two-year-old girl.

I think it looks just like the picture and I love how kids can record their voice each school year!
