Quality at a great price
I purchased this product to use on the Delaware River. This water body is bigger than my local creek and has deeper sections which is great for the Wooly Buggers with the Beaded heads to get some depth. The non weighted work great on my 6 wt rod and line combo that is 8.5 feet in length for long casting but the weighted are harder to cast as far obviously but didn't stop me from catching a dozen or more small mouths my first time out. These are high quality and look great. Not a dud in the lot and are the perfect color for all types of waters and fish species. Some of the discount flies always have weird colors and fall apart fast but these are not the "cheap" or discount flies at all.

Pleased with quality and price
This is a solid set of starter flies for the western/rocky mountain flyfisher. The flies come in a clear plastic, compartmentalized box that I use now to store flies that are only good for hatches or bug seasons. Quality is good, especially at a discounted price. Flies are as pictured, if you have a magnifying glass for your computer screenshot. The product description doesn't mention it but here are the sizes (mostly generic sizes): DRY -- Adams Parachute (14,16,18) Parachute BWO (18,20,22) PMD (14,16,18) Red Quills(14,16) Trico Spinners (20,22) Fluttering Stonefly (8) Tan Elk Hair Cad. (14,16,18) Brown Elk Hair Cad. (14,16,18), Whit's Hopper (10,12,14) NYMPH -- Pheasant Tail (14,16,18) BH Hare's Ear (14,16,18) BH Prince (14,16,18) Brown SJ worm (14) Black flashbugger (8,10) Brown Stonefly (8,10).

Great freshwater flies!
I'm very much a newbie to the world of fly fishing, but I think for this product that's actually a good thing because I cannot tie my own flies yet, so I have to rely on others to do it for me. These are great looking flies. I especially like the crickets/grasshoppers -- they look like the real deal, and the local bass/crappy love them. I think I've caught fish on all of them.

Great service, fantastic quality
What a fabulous experience. I’ve ordered 3 separate times from Venture and each delivery has been made earlier than estimate. Flies are so well made and very consistent.

Eh, they're cheap, but then that was the point
Purchased these recently, and have used them once so far.The sizes are not consistent, meaning the small sized brown buggers are not the same size as the small sized black buggers, & etc.The sizes themselves seem to be in a range between 6 and 10, I'd guess. So far they seem durable enough - none have fallen apart on me so far anyway - but I don't expect them to hold up like I would more expensive flies. If I were rating these on quality alone, I'd give them 1, maybe 2 stars. But I purchased them, and I suspect many others will purchase them also, out of interest in obtaining a selection of cheap wooly buggers hassle free (which Amazon is great for). They're Prime eligible, which means free shipping for Prime members. They were listed when I purchased them at $29.95 for 18 flies. They come in a decent enough small compartmentalized plastic box.So they get 3 stars, not 1.Just don't expect these to be the wooly buggers you want.Buy these because you want them on the cheap.

Hopper is Grasshopper
Not like I'm much in know about fly fishing. The hoppers in this box seem to be a good start. The ants nope not much but they do look good. The other bugs look like winners. BP has dozen of same size hoppers for about same money per fly. This has three different sizes. If you know what your doing then maybe you know what to buy. Around here and most places trout are raised then dumped in the water and 99% are caught in week. They are not caught on flies either. Perch do bite flies so you can fish for them.
