Item arrived early. Great quality! Steel screen that is sturdy and made well. Perfect fit and perfect size. Works great for a leopard gecko's tank. Great price.

Fits well enough. A little loose but no gaps for escape. All metal construction gives it a little weight over the plastic version so it stays put, no escapes yet!

This is the only 5-star review I've ever written for something I unfortunately wasn't able to keep and had to return. I had to buy a new tank for my turtle when his old one sprung a leak and my attempts to reseal it weren't successful. I had to go to a different-shaped tank and wound up with a 36x18. Since it was shorter than our previous one, I was afraid our cat just might be brave (or stupid) enough to try to jump in the tank, so I wanted a cover to keep him from falling in should he try. This cover is just fantastic!! It's super sturdy, sturdy enough I'm sure if our cat landed on it, he wouldn't fall in. It is extremely well made with a perfect size mesh pattern, not too large to allow in little flying insects and not too small to allow in light, heat and UVA/UVB light from his lamps. And it looks great to boot and fits securely on the tank. The reason I can't keep it is because I have light fixtures that attach to the tank sides in such a way that don't allow for a tank cover. After ordering this, I thought I'd be able to find new light fixtures that would allow me to use the cover, but I couldn't find anything that would work with my setup (and that didn't say they catch fire). So the only solution was to keep the lights, ditch the cover and move the tank far enough away from where the cat could reach. I so wish I could have kept this cover, but if, unlike mine, it will work for your setup, I couldn't recommend it more.

it bends in a bit if u put anything too heavy on it so definitely best for just lights but it fits nicely. wouldnt recommend for a snake one could definitely pop it open

This screen is great for my tank! It fits perfectly with no holes or gaps where anything could slip through. I tested it with some mice in the tank, and they didn’t escape. Overall, it’s a perfect fit and very secure.
