How high can it go? What is the highest setting the laptop can go? The distance from desktop to laptop at its highest?

I bought the laptop stand as a present for my husband because he liked it at work so much. So I had to check with him. This is translated from "engineer-ese": The stand basically lifts the laptop about 7 inches up. The pivot point is in the center, and at that point, the height is 7 inches. If you have the stand completely flat, you have a 7-inch height all around. If you tilt it, then the bottom is at about 5 inches, and the top is up 9 or 10 inches. But my husband warns that you should keep in mind that the front portion of your keyboard (or his, at least) contains all the cursor movements, so you're usually using the upper portion of the keyboard, so the range is more like 7 inches up to 9 or 10 inches. He also warns that it doesn't work with a docking station. He says that's the only negative. So he just doesn't use a docking station with his laptop. So no biggie.

Question 2

What is the length of the stand when the front edge is completely extended? I have an awkward laptop/dock situation...

With the bracket fully extended the distance is 13.75" from front to back.  It's fine if the laptop hangs off the back of the stand, that's not a problem.  If you're using a docking station then you might have an issue if you leave the bracket on.  If you velcro the doc station to the stand and then dock your laptop, you can remove the sliding bracket off the front and it will work fine.  Removing the bracket works better in that situation.

What is the Material of stand?

The base and the platform are plastic.  The front slider is metal along with the hinge area.  It's very sturdy, I've had two for years now.

Question 4

How to adjust the height  to lowest point? Currently it simply doesn’t stick to the lowest point. Can someone please help.
