Deluxe Liquid Gold Solution 24 Kt. 4 Oz. By Medallion Brand

I've been using the Medallion Gold Plating kit for years and I have yet to find anything like it for ease of use, safety, and great results.. I buy it to convert silver jewelry to gold and to make lower karat gold look like 14k or 18k. I have always had success with anything I plated as long as I followed the directions and plated only onto compatible metals. DO heat solution in microwave. DO NOT just drop in your item and let it soak. WATCH to see when it has reached the gold intensity that you want. Reheat solution for each repeat use so that it is always hot. DO NOT leave activator disk in the solution when you are done plating. If you do you will ruin the solution and end up with a black speckled precipitate. The solution will then be useless. MAKE SURE your item to be plated has been thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and dried so that there are no oils or soil on the article or your piece will not plate evenly. I love this product.

I have read a lot of reviews for this product saying it did not work for some people. However I have used it several times and have ordered more and still had good luck with it. It is important to read the directions and make sure that you are using it on metals that it recommends. I also found that if you leave the metal in too long it tends to darken the gold color. But you can remove some of it easily with a toothbrush and a little tooth powder.I would definitely recommend it.

While the silver plating lotion from Medallion works a treat this does not seem to work at all. I followed the instructions carefully from cleaning the item to checking the temperature of the liquid, etc. yet this did nothing on my copper item what so ever. Looks like I am going to need an electroplating setup for gold plating after all. I had such high hopes after great success with the silver lotion. Do not waste your money on this.

I don't know if it was me, or it. I thought I followed the directions correctly. It most likely was a combination of the two. Also, the things I was trying to fix may not have been the right metal. I am a poor judge of metal types.

This is the 2nd time I've used this type of gold bonding. It worked great on the first item, a thin chain (18 inch,silver) and a second chain. That was all I got from it, so I'm somewhat disappointed. I have no idea yet how the plating will last and if silver will not tarnish through. It's so much cheaper than sending an item for plating, what with insurance and shipping. Hoping it lasts.

I love this gold plating system. It perfectly turn any white gold or silver jewelry into yellow gold. You are able to determine how dark the gold turns. You can pull it out sooner and have a lovely light gold or you can leave it in longer for the deeper 24k gold look. It's easy to use, just follow the directions. Make sure jewelry is clean and prepped before placing in the gold plating solution. Works lovely on real jewelry, because it's real gold. I've done rings, necklaces, charms.. They all look fantastic. I originally ordered the full kit with cleaner and polish. I reordered the gold listing product. I liked that you could order the plating solution without ordering another full kit. It also sent a new container, dipper and plating disk. Worth it.

This product really works! My old worn out jewelry really came back 2 life (not back to its original condition, of course). It surprisingly worked on MOST of my junk jewelry and for the jewelry it did not work well on, I used Liquid Silver on them and then tried Liquid Gold on them again and it worked much better! For the best results, PLEASE CLEAN JEWELRY 1ST with jewelry cleaning solution and dry with a soft cloth (Viva paper towels r perfect).
