Q: How much passive noise isolation / attenuation do these headphones provide? (in db or nrr please)

Sorry I cant say in db or nrr, but I want to say very minimal. I can still hear people talking around me, just not what they're saying.

Q: How do this compare, soundwise, to the BeoPlay H6?

The H6 is more neutral, less "fun". I do prefer neutral sound though.

Q: Can these be returned if they're uncomfortable or don't sound good?

Sure, if they are still in the warranty period!

Q: are these DJ useable or art they just to listen?

I really like the headphones. But I bought them for the purpose of hearing very clearly, guided meditation and more importantly harmonic tones. So I don't move around with them. I sit still and can only hear what the headphones are putting out. There is absolutely no other noise from outside the headphone that comes through. So if you want/need headphones that are heavy duty, pump out ultra quality sound and block all other... The headphones are for you!
