Mind Reader Ash Bucket, 6L (1.5 gal) Capacity, Wood Stove Fireplace Accessories, Metal, 9" L x 9" W x 10.5" H, Large, Black

The bucket is not huge by any means, yet it has enough capacity to keep several days of kindling to start our wood stove. My only negative is that it seems a bit pricey (but aren't all Fireplace accessories) for what you get. I arrived quickly in protective packaging. It looks good. Even the wife likes it (bonus). I added some rubber feet (via sticky tape) to protect our slate hearth from scratches.Overall we are happy with this purchase.

The bucket serves it's purpose, which is to carry hot ashes out of my fireplace. However, there is NO shovel, as appears in the image. Not a big deal, but slightly misleading. If there would have been a shovel included, this rating would have been 5 stars.

The ash bucket seems to do the job but be aware that the bottom is thin and can heat up if collecting hot ash or coal. The heat will transfer through the bottom to the floor and burn.

Decided to keep this item but it was not as described. The bottom is very thin and appears to be a single sheet of metal as opposed to a double layer. I would not put hot ashes and leave this on a combustible floor! I asked a question to the manufacturer and never got a reply. As for the rest of the construction, I have no issue.

For use in a community hall, in side room with fireplace, helping renters to 'clean up after themselves', safely. This bucket does not have a doubly-lined bottom for extra floor protection, however.
