The CB Ziggy is a lightweight, spring-loaded cane holder with a reflective flap designed to clip onto walking sticks of 16mm or 19mm diameter. It prevents cane drops by allowing it to balance securely on table edges and enhances nighttime safety with its reflective strip, combining practical convenience with increased visibility.

Proof: convenience and function can coexist.
After years of trying a variety of attachments to park my cane when dining at a restaurant, I finally like what I got. With no fiddling except adjusting the location of the clip to allow the cane to hang nicely from the edge of the table or chair, it just works. The spring-loaded paddle which grips the table surface just automatically moves out of the way when the cane is picked up.The underside gripping surface prevents sliding or slipping off, compared to other friction-based gadgets I have bought and used. Still, taking the suggestion of an earlier reviewer, I applied a high-friction nonslip tape (Dycem?) to the bottom surface and am surprised at the tenacious gripping power of the entire setup. The orange reflective tape is more decorative than a security feature for "night walkers." Any patterned or solid-color tape could decorate this attachment to match the cane. My "Dr. House" cane with its decal of roaring flames could continue the flame motif on the top of this holder. My everyday cane is made of black carbon fiber, so I'm thinking of applying a laminated white label from my label printer, perhaps displaying some high-resolution TIFF graphic. It arrived safely in a wrinkled, battered bubble-lined manila envelope from England. Nothing was broken, however. All in all, a nicely satisfying purchase. And really, I have no complaints.

great idea for cane users
Now I can hang my cane on the edge of a table and it really stays there. It used to fall off at the restaurant or wherever I was and was such a bother. Great product for those of us who use canes.

The best of the lot
I have tried every type of these holders, and ths is far and away the best. The significant difference is the addition of a spring to the tongue that flips up to balance on the flat surface. The models without this spring are next to useless - the0°y so not profile good articulation between the cane and the “tongue” and so the tongue does not lie flat on the surface you’re balancing on. So, there is room for improvement - the tongue itself could use a slightly rougher surface to prevent the device from sliding off the table you’re balancing the cane on. Yes, there is a strip whose purpose may be to supply some friction, but it is not enough. I have improved the situation by the use of friction tape - through this is better, the friction tape does not adhere well, and it also is a bit too thick for use. Still, this design is the best that’s out there and it works most of the time.

Works great
Bought it for mom and she uses it everyday. Her cane doesn't fall and she doesn't forget it.

I got it to work
Works reasonably well if placed on the inside of the cane. Since the item is very light weight, the handle of the cane and the extension from the item must be in the same direction when resting the cane on a table. There were no instructions, and the pictures implied it should be installed in the other direction. If you place the item facing forward on the cane, so the reflective strip is outward, the cane will not balance on a table when the item is used.I've only had the Ziggy for a few days. I expected it to be a much heavier and stronger device. We will see how long it lasts. I would have paid more for a higher quality device..

Works but has drawbacks
The cane holder did stay on the table, but only if it wasn't bumped by someone or the table was jarred. Also, if the table is higher, you have to adjust the cane holder to a lower position, which makes the cane heavier at the top and therefore not as stable, and it falls off more easily. It would be nice if there were a grippier surface where it goes onto the table. It comes off the cane easily if the cane is dropped....all that being said, I've ordered a second one because it's helpful and worth having!

Everyone who uses a cane should have one.
This simple and elegant little gizmo allows instantaneous storage of a cane on restaurant tables, bathroom sinks, kitchen countertops, really any surface at all that has a squared off edge. Other devices thatdo the same are bulky and hard to handle. This one is lightweight and attaches to any standard tubular shaped cane. I peeled off the reflective tape because it’s nothing but a distraction. Black gizmo + black came = perfection.

Not for most canes
Part that fits around the cane shaft is extremely tiny and only accommodates about a 1/2-3/4" cane shaft.
