the bags are good
I am not able to find fold top bags in the store anymore, so i turn to Amazon. I got these a couple of months ago after first ordering the regular Glad fold top sandwich bags which got lost in the mail and never arrived. The regular ones have 120 per box. These only have 40 per box. I like these bags, they are soft and pliable and cling to the food inside or whatever is inside. They do the job. My only problem with them is that there are too few in each box, the boxes are too small, and i am someone who uses these regularly, pretty much daily, so i like to get a large supply where i don't' have to think about getting more for a long time, especially now that they aren't for sale in the stores (where you can find several different brands of ziplock sandwich bags, as if i needed several different brands of one kind of bag). So, although i definitely like these and they do what i want them to do, and i would buy them again, i ordered more of the regular ones that got lost in the mail so that now i do have a large "endless" supply. This should be no refection on the product i'm reviewing, other than i would be happier if they came in larger boxes with more bags per box. i don't know if the 'bio bag' feature makes any difference. If they're more healthy, then that's great, but i don't know if they actually are. They do have a softer more pliable texture than the regular bags, and i tend to like it.

I don't know what these bags are good for. I put half a sandwich in one and got it out about 3 hours later and the bread was very hard. It is called sandwich bags. It does not keep anything from drying out. I would definitely not buy again.

A Good Alternative
When I first opened a package of these I was turned off -- the bags look just like the ones I use in my kitchen compacter (and these do advertise they can be compacted.) Then I decided to trust what they said about their safety for food and started using them. Hope that decision was a good one because now these are all I use -- they are soft and pliable so they are much easier to pack then the typical plastic baggies. I also use them to store small items and they are great for storing vegetables and small pieces of fruit, like grapes, in the fridge, so you can get rid of those clumsy containers those products come in. And I prefer the fold over top to the zipper type, but it is difficult to find the fold over ones any more in the grocery stores. That is why I ordered these, but now I find a number of other things about them that I prefer to the typical plastic ones.

Five Stars
A great alternative to regular bags. They work just as well and won't spend an eternity in the landfill.

Great for school lunches when re-usable containers aren't an option.

These work like a charm
These work like a charm. I try not to use regular plastic, but it's often hard to find biodegradable plastics in supermarkets. This is great, but they are small, and will only (comfortably) hold one sandwich at a time.
