Arducam 120 Degree Ultra Wide Angle CS Lens for Raspberry Pi HQ Camera, 3.2mm Focal Length with Manual Focus

This is a good lens. Nice combination of angle of view and focal length. I have mounted a Raspberry Pi HQ camera looking downwards on an old Durst B30 photographic enlarger, and I use this to photograph and then OCR documents (I am totally blind). I also stream the video over Jitsi so other folks in the Surrey Linux User Group can help me identify pinouts on small electronic gizmos. Amazon has the best prices on these Arducam lenses I have found.

I ordered this lens for a project which had to be put on hold for a while, and when I went to use this lens a good while later, I discovered it was defective(some sort of adhesive residue, preventing proper focus). I was well outside my return window, so I emailed customer support asking for ideas on how to remove the residue, and long story short they were awesome and just sent me a replacement! I have ordered a number of Arducam items, both from Amazon and their uctronics web store, and this is the only item I've ever had a problem with, and they fixed that problem right away. As for the lens itself, it is the most performant wide angle lens CS mount lens I've found in this price range, works great with the HQ cam and a couple of M12 sensors I've tried with adapter. 👍👍 highly recommended!

I used this to add a camera to polar scope on my telescope mount. View is clear and focus can be locked with a screw. 12mm works great for this for good field of view.

Not sure how well this would work on most sensors, but I needed something to attach to a 128x128 px sensor, so this is perfect.
