Aveda Invati Exfoliating Shampoo Rich 6.76 oz

I had used this product several years ago and not sure why I stopped. I started it again and even my Barber has noticed my hair as being thicker and fuller. I can feel it myself. Amazing product and I highly recommend it.

It’s not a sudsy soap. If you get product buildup on your scalp or color your hair and need a weekly scalp clean this is the product. It’s gentle and effective on getting the scalp nice and clean. I do four sections and dime or half a dime size of product for each section. Scrub with fingernails for 1-3 minutes and rinse thoroughly then use my regular shampoo.

There will be others complaining, I am sure, about how this leaves your hair oily, and I admit there is a learning curve about how to use this, since it doesn't lather. But my hair has never had as much body as it does with this shampoo. I have struggled for years to find the perfect formula. I used to use shampoos that stripped my hair, but with the humidity where I live, that only ended up making my hair flat. When it was not humid, like in winter, my hair would be all fly away/staticky. This has solved both problems. I couldn't be happier now, having "normal" hair for a change. For best results, I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week, and use dry shampoo in between as needed. I wish it came in a bar version, though. I really want to cut down on the plastic.

This is my second time purchasing this. I received another bottle that had already been opened. The first one, I just used because returning and reordering felt like a hassle. However, it’s hard to understand why a product like this would be sent out twice in such a condition. Aveda is not an inexpensive shampoo; it’s quite pricey. No matter how wasteful it may seem, sending out products like this is unacceptable, especially not twice.

I've been using Aveda for several years, and this formula is my favorite. I have very fine, thinning hair, and this shampoo gave me more volume than any of the other Aveda products I've tried. It also leaves my hair very soft and doesn't dry out my scalp.
