Q: I am trying to decide between the home version and pro. The pro has 1400 watt motor, home has 1000 watt. Does anyone have experience with both?

I have purchased both the pro and home versions (the pet pro). Personally we like the home version better. The home one actives faster and sucks up the debris much better then the other one. We are considering ordering another home version for another part of the house. We have cats and no matter which you decide on they are awesome. They are easy to clean, and the pet hair, litter kicked out of the liter box is gone fast, and pet food gone off the floor. Since we have a couple of cats who always pull the food out of the dishes this has been a plus for cleanup. I did order extra filters so when one is drying after washing my eye-vac is still in use.

Q: I have a cordless vacuum cleaner already so how would this be different if at all?

I have a Roomba robot vacuum that vacuums every day but I still get grass , dog hair and dust between vacuums. Plus I’m not going to wait for my robot to clean up if something is spilled it’s easier to grab the broom than grab the room a and wait for it to circle the trash and finally pick it al up. So, that being said. I LOVE this. I see something on the floor I gab the broom sweep it into the vacuum and I’m done in in less than 39 seconds! Plus if you read when it goes off it puts filtered clean air back into your home so there something the robot vacuum does not do!

Q: Will it pick up dog or cat kibble?

yes, it is a good sucker. You have to bring the kibble to it. I have a medium sized dog and cats, it sucked their food up.

Q: Does this model have a washable/reusable filter?

I bought this as a gift but as I remember it was a washable/reusable filter. The recipient of the gift LOVES it and has 2 children (3&5) who are all into cleaning. They could not be more happy. Lots of dog and cat hair in that thing. My hairdresser has one at her shop and raves about it.
