Q: Why would you would take these? ...what are the benefits people see ?

They help keep your immune system strong. I used to get a TON of sinus infections in the fall/winter. While I still have sinus issues, my symptoms have not been full blown can't get far away from facial tissues and miserable, as they used to be. I contribute this to taking 2 (sometimes up to 4) pills daily and using a neti pot so infections can't take hold. Worker at a health food/vitamin shop told me about oil of oregano benefits, but oil of oregano tastes awful, so these are a wonderful alternative. Hope this help!

Hello tailz , In response to your question I went directly to my one remaining bottle of OregaMax and it states the following: SUPPLEMENT FACTS Serving size: 1 capsule Servings per container: 90 Amt Per Serving Propietary blend 550 mg Wild, high-mountain oregano (herb) Wild Rhus coriaria (sumac) (fruit) Organic garlic (bulb) Organic onion (bulb) Other Ingredients: cellulose. Contains no animal products, 100% GMO free. That is all the information I see regarding "cellulose." Hope that helps.

Q: How many calories per serving?

It's obviously zero for all practical purposes. One serving is a capsule that contains 0.55 grams of their proprietary blend. Some of it are the full parts of plants that may have up to 3 kcal per gram which would correspond to 1.5 kcal per capsule. But this capsule almost certainly has much less than 1.5 kcal because the carbohydrate content is very low and cellulose has almost no energy, either. So I think the content is almost certainly less than 1 kcal per capsule. If you fight against extra pounds, you may search for oregano and weight loss to see that products like that are generally recommend to help with weight loss. But I think that even these effects are negligible relatively to other effects of the ingredients.
