Q: The lower arms are loose and floppy at the main pole mount. They have plastic inserts but still very loose. Am I the only one with this problem?

Not at all… although the desktop set up is practical for my job as an on air anchor for SIRIUSXM- I do agree the arms have entirely too much “play” on the lower arms… I’ve gone so far as to insert plastic to fill the slippage but it’s not working in the least. If there are solutions or suggestions- I’m open to them!!

Q: How to hold a teleprompter on this?

I run teleprompter software on my iPad and have the output go to a monitor that is mounted just below the camera.

Q: Will this work well on a sit-to-stand desk?

Yes, it will work on sit-to-stand desk. Please take care that the live stand uses C Clamp base to hold on your standing desk. The height of C Clamp is 5.7" at max. Please measure the height of your standing desk when it's at lowest mode to make sure C Clamp of live stand won't block your desk lower. Q: Is it possible to add an additional parallel arm to dual 17 inch monitor to this set up? or should I have two stands on one desk?

Technically, yes it is possible. The issue is either, (1) modifying one of the existing arms-ends with the right mount for a monitor (matching the one that is included or reasonable facsimile)... (2) make your own arm that slides down the ~1.5" diam post, thus creating a completely new arm for your second monitor.
