Q: I have a photograph that is shiny. I wonder if I could spray on that to take out some of the shine?

I never sprayed a photo. So I would spray a photo I didn't care about and if it works you have the answer. Also, I spray about 3 feet from the piece.

Q: Would this work on a the face of an alarm clock without obscuring the date and time numbers?

More than likely it would give the look of it being frosted, you would still be able to see thru it to some degree, but its image would be somewhat fuzzy.
