Q: I am debating between getting the 315k headphones and the 215----does anyone have experience with both and can tell me if the 315 is better than the 2

They are both great, but the 315's are better sounding. I have a pair of 535's that sound good, but I use these more often than most all my earbuds. If I am listening through my home system, I use Beyerdynamic's either mt T-70's or my T-90's. Also as with all speakers and headphones there is going to be a break in period. They will sound different in a few weeks than right out of the box.

Q: Why one review is saying that s315 sacrifice on isolation ?? I own a s215 and want to upgrade

Hello, from our experience, they seem to isolate the same but everybody's ear is a little different. You just need to make sure you're using the best sized universal adapters that come with the unit. The 315s are not as popular as all the others since they are so similar to the 215s. If you are looking for an upgrade from the 215s, I would suggest the CL425s. They are dual driver units and our most popular Shure earphone for professionals.

Yes there is a difference. I had the previous version of 215 and the 315 does sound more live compared to 215. Again these differences become somewhat incremental. I feel if you are not too picky 215 will sound great. Make sure there is a proper seal. I need the triple flange but my wife likes the softer ear pads for a proper seal. That may be more important than anything else.

Q: How sound isolating are the 315k's? I've had the E4C and the sound isolating function was Awesome, do these compare?

I have never tried the E4Cs so I can't speak to their sound isolating properties. But I use my 315k every day and in every conceivable way: mowing the lawn, using a chain saw to remove a Bradford Pear, at Thanksgiving dinner when my in-laws and my parents begin their tale if woes regarding an aging colon et al. To be honest: some of the chain saw seeps through, but you won't find anything that will kill that racket. I will give the 315s high marks for sound isolation. But please understand I'm usually listening to a Bach Toccata or the Momma and the Papas...I'm a throwback to "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" (Simon and Garfunkel). Admittedly I bought them for their awesome fidelity...I just happened to discover that except in rare cases of high decibel machinery they are GREAT. Sebastian Franklin Specht
