When Life Gives You O.J.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! The reading level suggests ages 8-12 and my 8-year old really enjoyed it! There is a Yiddish glossary in the back that he used throughout the book to learn the meaning of the words which was very helpful. We just ordered Aces Wild and can’t wait to read it next.

Great book for school

This middle grade novel is one that I'm hoping to share with my fourth grade students this year. The characters in this story were realistic and funny; young readers will certainly identify with the main character's struggle to fit in with her neighbors and classmates in a new town. Ace, the quirky grandfather, is a lovable character, and many great themes about family are found in these pages. The idea of a girl having to feed, walk, and care for an orange juice jug "dog" is so original and entertaining. I highly recommend this book!

I loved this book and I couldn't put it down. It is amazing and made me feel every emotion as I read it, and even made some tears run down my chicks. I felt like a kid.This book is a must to read by kids and grown ups. It is so amazing of how it develops every situation that life can present you and how different people approach to those situations. In this book you even find pieces of wisdow you can use on your own life. I can't wait to read this book again

We loved this book! It is a must read! Trying to fit in a new area and making new friends is a struggle all by itself. Add in trying to prove that you are responsible enough to take care of a dog and you've got a great story on many levels. I would definitely recommend this book!

nice book for the younger crowd...was assigned to our kids for school but they enjoyed.

Great book for kids. My 9 year old niece loves it. a lot of readying for a young child but a little challenge is good and keeps them thinking.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. The only reason I read this was because I am in 5th grade and it is a Virginia Readers Choice book so I want to read all 10 books to get a prize and pass the quiz. I am glad they made this one of the books.
