e-motion Pure Black twist ballpoint pen, B, black/silver

Has a quality feel about it. Nicely weighted. I like the colour - hopefully it stays that way. Uses a Parker type refill so the writing is good too. I like it so much that I have ordered the matching fountain pen.

While I was attracted to some of the other E-motion series ballpoints, I chose the Pure Black and I'm glad I did. I see people arguing about which is heavier, the all-metal Pure Black or the resin barrels ones. I haven't held any of the resin barrel ones, but I sincerely doubt a resin barrel is going to be heavier than an all metal one. In any case, I find the weight of the Pure Black to be balanced perfectly. The pen itself is not heavy, but it is substantial, and as I mentioned, perfectly balanced. It's also very handsome with a guilloche pattern inscribed on the barrel. It writes beautifully - as it should considering the price point. I'm glad I bought it. Note: I see some reviewers on Amazon for other Faber-Castell E-motion series pens complaining about ballpoint tips attached with plastic or writing horribly. Frankly, I doubt whether any of those were really authentic Faber-Castell pens. ALL Faber-Castell E-motion pens have metal ends and tips and come with a standard Faber-Castell refill. I certainly don't think they were sold by Amazon, rather by third-party sellers on Amazon. Read third-party seller reviews before ordering - it's only common sense. If there is anything about the pen that doesn't seem right, return it immediately for refund.
