Wow is my nephew going to love these! The package came so organized and packed well. All 50(i counted) of the cars were all in the original packages. Great variety! I included pictures of them separated into groups. I got a few city trucks, a good amount of rescue vehicles which my nephew loves. You get a good amount of construction vehicles and a ton of jeeps and trucks. In my package, i got 2 boats and 1 train which is a nice addition to the other matchbox vehicles. This was a great starter pack for my nephew...he has been playing with the matchbox cars that were handed down to him from my brother and dad. So I decided to get him his own set and I couldnt have been more pleased.

These are surprisingly awesome! Not just run-of-the-mill die cast toy cars, these include cool things like garbage trucks, ambulances, and fire trucks. A perfect incentive for my son during potty training. Because we have so many extra, we'll probably use these as favors for a birthday party at some point, too. Each car comes in its own individual packaging so these would be good for stocking stuffers or party favors as well.

Ages 3+. I wanted to get my grandson a nice set of cars to play with, my daughter asked for no plastic, so, returning to the days of my youth...Very nice collection at a good price, what's not to like? The paint seems to be durable, wouldn't want the little guy to chew on them though, probably all kinds of strange heavy metals. Oh yeah, Matchbox is part of Mattel, so basically the "Hot Wheels" are creeping in. It was funny when they arrived, a huge ball of bubble wrap and the individually-packaged cars, lots of fun opening all those up.

Ordered for Christmas for my son, went with this one because it was supposed to be the on a mission series, boy am i glad i decided to open it, it is not the on a mission set, it is was just your normal matchbox. And yes im aware of how the 50 packs work. Will be returning.

First, I should state that I received this large pack in great condition and on a timely basis. The collection came in the original Mattel bulk box, so obviously as they wished to send out their Matchboxes. However, it appeared to be exactly that: those which they wanted to send out. Of the fifty Matchboxes received, four (8%) were "standard" cars (Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, Aston Martin Volante, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ford F-150). The other forty-six were a mix of construction vehicles (crane, forklift, bulldozer, steamroller, garbage truck), emergency vehicles (odd/modified police, fire, EMS vehicles), no-road vehicles (ATV, train, boats), and strangely modified creations (4x4 bus, flame thrower, rain maker, missile launcher, truck oddities). They are advertised as "Theme Vehicles," and that could be a proper term for it. It was not a "Car Pack" as titled, expected or desired, but it does get a full set of four stars for being creative and fun for those who unencumbered imaginations.

I needed a BIG set of matchboxes for my 2 grandsons who are coming to visit... so I bought this set and a couple of matchbox toys. This is a great set of multiple different cars, trucks, vehicles for about the same price as my local store but I didn't have to stand there and pick out 50 different ones. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful, but I think these will be a huge hit.

They're as described, but Matchbox isn't the same quality as when I was a kid. I got these for my 3 year old. They are lighter than my old cars and made with more plastic parts where the old ones have solid metal. Otherwise fantastic cars, lots of detail, and good variety in this set.
