I had been using the Bluetooth connection to listen to music from my iPhone. The sound was ok, but the volume seemed lower than I’m used to from my Audis. This cord changed that, instantly. It began charging immediately. You just need to select “External audio input” from your MMI screen. The volume is incredible with no static. You cannot see track listings or forward from the MMI, but that’s easy enough with the iPhone mounted on the dash. I love this cord!

The build is correct and t plugs into our 2013 VW Tiguan like it should. But the phone connection is terrible. Sometimes the phone is charging, other times it's draining. Many times the phone appears not connected at all. Bad quality.

Received it on time. Easy to setup just plugin and select media on the car dashboard. It played music good quality. But it does not charge. I also received a note with it that some cars support charging some don’t (and it’s on the website). Looks like in my car it does not charge. I have an audi quattro 2012. If you have the same car and it does charge please let me know. Also the note says that if I have problems with it within 12 months they will refund or replace, which is great!

It works with my Audi A5 to deliver very good sound quality of my music. Sound quality with this cable vs Bluetooth is noticeable. I don’t think it charges my phone while connected though.

First time I plugged into my car and using my phone it worked perfectly and then the second time I attached my phone it registered as charging but then stopped and hasn’t worked since

I needed the correct cable for the used passat I just bought so I could connect to the audio system directly and charge at the same time. This cable fit the car MDI port just fine the plug to the phone is a bit larger than the apple plug so is a tight fit for the case I am using is the only reason for a 4 star overall.

It lasted me less than 2 weeks before it broke. It worked well while it lasted. I have an Audi.

tried it for my 211 vw tiguan, it was quite finicky, kept disconnecting.
