PENTAIR 340210 Dynamo Above Ground Swimming Pool Pump 1.5 Hp w/3' Cord 115V

This Pentair pump failed in fewer than six months of normal service. There was nothing blocking or restricting its function, one day it simply refused to rotate. The product description includes a one-year manufacturer warranty. Neither the manufacturer nor the vendor was helpful in assisting me in a warranty claim.

It worked great all summer...turned it on last weekend to get the pool ready for winter, and it just froze up...don't know if it's an electrical or a mechanical problem...but Pentair? This *should* last forever...which is why I chose it to begin with...

Have had this pump running for just over 6 months now and over that time, the noise of the pump has increased to where now, we can hear it all the way on the other side of the neighbors house. Its awful. We keep the pump running most of the time, and it started off great! CLEARLY you need to really check out the product you receive before installing it. It sounds like its going to explode at any time!

This is a powerful and very quiet pump. It was by far the best price for a quality pump that I could find anywhere. I used it to replace a pump that would have been over twice as much for exact model, and it looks like it's the same manufacturer. Our last pump lasted 12 years, so if I can get even half that I would be happy. And it doesn't sound like the cheaper pumps last much more than a year, so I wouldn't want to waste our money on junk. I do have to say the customer service was fantastic. They were more than helpful and made sure I got everything working and going right. It fit perfectly from our old pump. We are enjoying a great summer now! Thanks!

Original pump was a Pentair Dynamo 340210, same model.Gave 4 good years of service. Has been leaking at the pump shaft going from the electrical motor to the pump.I have no idea how to fix this and did not want to play with it, so I replaced the entire thing. I am sure I could have replaced a seal. But having a brand new entire pump was easy. And now I should have 4-5 years of great no issue service from this new pump.Took me about 20 minutes to uninstall the old and install the new.This was the exact same pump as the original.

The first one lasted 2 years running 24/7 and it was still running but it started throwing the gfci extension cord off. We recently purchased another one. It works great on a 20'X54" pool. I love how it has the on/off switch on the pump!

I bought one from a pool store when I got my pool. After 5 years it died, so I bought this from Amazon because it was literally half the price of buying local. I'm all for supporting local businesses, but double the price on an item like this seemed a bit much. Product quality is good, and certainly performs as it is supposed to

Had this pump for 3 months... it took me a month to get my pool guy to install it as it was the beginning of pool season! It was working great for 3 week... then it just stopped working, it would push a little water through but very little. I turned it off for a few minutes turn it back on and it worked great for a few hours... then it started only working for about 20 minutes... so frustrating! This pool has been a money pit!called amazon they said it was no replaceable because it was out of the 30day mark!! REALLY!! I would think with a motor and it being a pricey item it would be covered for at least a year!!! Very disappointed!!
