Q: If I run 30m Ethernet cable to shed and connect this via a switch box, will I get wifi in the shed?

I have four velop nodes, one is the DHCP server connected to the modem and then a netgear switch. The rest of my network are six more netgear switches and there more velop nodes (all connected to the home ethernet). This works for me, most of it is truly plug and play (serving up the velops needs a little time with a pretty user friendly app).

Q: Will this work with virgina media router? if yes will i need to put virgin media router into modem mode to alow it to work?

It works with Virgin media. To get all the functions put your router in Modem mode which takes under a minute. All the details were on Virgin Media's website when I did it.

Hi, Andrew. The length of the power cable is about 60 inches long. It is approximately about 64 inches if we include the adapter.

Q: I currently have airport extreme and airport express and curious if this system would work better? has anyone upgraded from airport?

I did just that. its great. The signal much better as wifi access points. I use it in bridge mode and my airport extreme remains as main router with wifi turn off. This is because my NAT drive doesn’t work automatically with a change of network setting. I don’t remember how to manually reset it, having to retain the old network setup. Also need to retain the Apple back up drive plugged into the usb port on the airport extreme for my time machine back up. The wifi signals are max everywhere around the 5 bedrooms house.
