Works great, needs a good tripod.
I video record church services and I needed a set up that was unobtrusive and I needed to be able to pan and tilt the video camera remotely. I have a fairly large Sony video camera so I needed a solid piece of equipment and this motorized remote-controlled pan and tilt gimbal head works perfectly. It requires a tripod with a 3/8" camera mounting screw to be able to handle the weight load of this arrangement so I got a Neewer tripod to go with this gimbal head. All of this works very well together.

It's just...okay
So first, the plusses. It is easy to set up. It holds the camera stable. I like that it is wireless and uses NPF style batteries. The range is decent and it is an okay addition to a multi cam setup as long as you aren't wanting to use it for moving shots. It also came with a decent storage case...which was nice.Now...the cons...the mounting plate does not provide enough room to mount camera while proving access to HDMI outputs...at least on any of the cameras I own. Had to add a cheeseplate to make things work. The remote controls are all backwards...left is right...up is down. Controls are all or nothing...no ramping at beginning and end to smooth things out. Actual movement...at any speed is choppy, making motion shots unusable. Remotes are both cheap plastic and i really don't expect either to survive long term. That all said...this head works fine in multi-cam operations, where I can cut away...adjust the shot...and then cut back. But I am honestly torn on whether this is something I would recommend to anyone. While I don't hate it...it's short comings make it impossible for me to love it either.Complicating things further, I have a Bescor head that I can do most of the same stuff with. The only advantage here is that this one is wireless...which does allow for some additional creative options...but the Bescor is much smoother and can be used for motion shots...albeit on a fairly lumited basis...and costs half as much.So yeah. It's just okay.

Overall very impressed
The media could not be loaded. Works as advertised, unit itself seems well built and once I knew to have batteries no issue. Also the 1/4 to 3/8 adapter.. another user mentioned the remote and was exactly on point. It is almost laughable in its cheapness. The pan is bass ackwards but the tilt is correct. It is not a precision feel but sinceI do still photography not an issue. Also the headboard for the pan has .5 degree free play which is livable

No adapter for 3/8 to 1/4 mount
Requires 3/8 inch connection to tripod, old tripod didn’t work, buying new tripod.
