Q: Is this compared to Holbein Acryla Gouache?

This product is superior to Holbein Acryla. The Holbein is runny and will run out of the tube when opened; it’s not supposed to be diluted. The Turner acrylic gouache has richer colors and can/should be diluted 2 parts paint to 1 part water.

Q: What is the lightfastness rating of these paints?

Acrylic gouache is a paint with high hiding power and does not leave brushstrokes, and is suitable for painting uniformly colored surfaces such as poster production. They contain more pigment than acrylic paints and produce better colors, but are less durable and lightfast. They have a matte texture and less of a paint sheen, and are often used in art school color surface composition and design. Acrylic paints can be used more like watercolors, whereas acrylic gouache can be described as a matte-textured paint that is specialized for applying uniform color surfaces.

The colors are on each tube of paint. They are very accurate and create vivid results. I'm sure that I will be ordering these paints again. Love them!

INFO: Turner Acryl Gouache is more concentrated than most acrylics, with a beautiful velvety matte finish! - Incredibly versatile, it adheres to wood, acrylic sheeting, stone, cloth, clay, metal, slate, glass, aluminum, iron, vinyl, Styrofoam, stretched canvas, and properly sized papers without the necessity for pre-prep.
COLOR: The colors are quick drying and water reducible (2:1 paint to water), yet water-resistant when dry. Because of the low amounts of binder in the paint, there is little to no color shift when dry, resulting in brilliant final artworks.
DRYING: All colors are opaque and dry to a velvety matte finish.
