Wow... great little aid.
So I know this will not be typical... and I know that many people already have a good swing and will not benefit too much from something like this.... but it really helped my game. I usually shoot 110-116. My drive kills me, because I consistently slice. I even slice with my irons. I haven't really taken any lessons, and I play about once a week (started doing this about 6 months ago). So I decided to buy something to help me... this thing had good reviews, so i decided to give it a try. I watched the video 3 times, and paid close attention to: the angle at which the club was sitting in my hand straight line my back, neck and head made and then the swing line that i worked on with the aid. I played around with it twice for about 20 minutes each time... and then went out to one of my usual courses and shot a 44 on the front 9. I have never shot anywhere close to that... best I think I have done is 50. My swing felt really good, I was really hitting the ball well, and was very impressed with the results. I went out again today and shot a 50 on the front 9 and 51 on the back. My swing is much more consistent. The one thing that still needs a lot of work is my drive. My plan is to use the aid on my driver next to see if I can find the correct swing line for the driver. i some of you might think this sounds ridiculous... there's no way a little plastic thing can help enough to rate 5 stars... but my swing feels so much different than it ever has. very impressed!

Swingyde improved my shots instantly! Well worth the money.
I'm a high handicap golfer that is pretty new to the game. I struggle with consistency in my swing. This swing aid worked very well in helping me find a correct hand position at the top of my swing. It encourages wrist hinge and promotes proper club face alignment. I had taken 3 lessons before purchasing the Swingyde. I knew the correct setup to the swing...such as head, foot and ball alignment/positioning. The only thing that a teacher was NOT able to do, was give physical feedback as to how a proper swing feels; how the wrist hinge should feel and the feeling of the release. The Swingyde does just that...if the curved end of the Swingyde sits flush on your left wrist(right handed swing) then you instantly know what a proper shot should feel like at the top of your swing as well as the follow through. It truly is a simple yet effective golf swing aid. Now it's just a matter of practicing enough at the range with my Swingyde. Once the muscle memory kicks in I should have a much more consistent swing and hopefully will lower my scores! The only minor little gripe that I could make is the way it attaches to the club. You have to find the proper spot on the grip and then insert the screw and tighten the nut. It's pretty sturdy once its on the club but if you want to try Swingyde on another club then you have to unscrew it, not lose the screw/nut, then reattach it to the other club and tighten. Not a huge deal but if there were some way to snap it on the club or attach it quicker then I'd give it 5 stars. Overall, this is a great little swing aid! If you've come this far then chances are you need to buy Swingyde! Go for it!

Just OK.
The Swingyde Golf Swing Training Aid is a decent option for those looking to improve their golf swing. The product is compact and easy to use, simply clip it onto your club and it provides an instant reference for the correct wrist position during your swing. However, it's not the most durable product on the market and the clip can sometimes come loose during use, which can be a bit annoying. I have used the Swingyde for a few weeks now and have noticed a slight improvement in my wrist position during my swing. However, it's not a drastic change and I'm not sure how much of that improvement is actually due to the Swingyde or just the result of my own practice and dedication. Additionally, the clip can sometimes come loose during use, which can be frustrating. Overall, the Swingyde Golf Swing Training Aid is a decent product that can potentially help you improve your wrist position during your swing. But, it's not the most durable product on the market and the clip can sometimes come loose during use, which can be a bit annoying. So, I would say it's just an average product that may or may not be effective for everyone.

When i bought the swingyde i wanted to guard against it being a miracle cure to shave strokes off my handicap. As a high 80s low 90s shooter, i wanted to see what kind of improvements this training aid can make for my game. Attaching the aid is simple & for the first couple of times using it on the range i was surprised at how higher & further i hit the ball with my irons. I was always envious of those guys who can hit it real high with a majestic ball flight. Now I'm one of those guys. I can tell anyone who reads this review that after a month of using the swingyde, i have never hit it higher or longer. It really puts your arms in the right position on the top of the backswing. I use it almost everyday, 5 to 10 minutes indoors & if I'm lucky enough to make it on the range. Completely recommend.

I know there are knock-off versions of this but I wanted to support the inventor AND my experience of friends buying clone stuff has taught me that yopu pretty much get what you pay for. The Swingyde comes withe instructions on a couple of sheets, a 30 minute DVD showing all sorts of drills and how it works, an study elastic band to get you started by wrapping the band round your left wrist and the Swingyde, and a sweat band for your wrist in case you find the band chafes a little. So a nice little set of complimentary teaching add ons you don't get with the clones. I was reading Jim Waldron's book on swing techniques and drills based on his swing drills and his ideas about how the swing is an allusion of swinging arms rather than the truth of arms in front, side, of the chest and the arms and wrists just move up and down. The Swingyde is perfect for practicing these drills and it has greatly improved my ball striking and accuracy as I am managing to start to eliminate some habits ingrained over twenty years of 18 h/c golf. The Swingyde is attached to the grip about an inch from the end - there's a demo of where to fix it specific to your grip on the DVD and the handout - square it up to the grooves on the face of the club, tighten the wing nut, and you are ready to go. It will fit onto any of your clubs. When you swing you'll immediately identify whether you are staying square and flat with your left wrist. My son and I thought we were pretty good and would be proven correct. Wrong! I was nearly right on the back-swing. but I lost it on the way down with a wristy move to kind of flip the ball and then went into a very closed follow-through. That last part immediately told me where my very low miss-hits were coming from and were the unreliable accuracy was caused by. My son went closed at the top and closed all the way through - he has a hook problem - now we know were that's coming from. I have been using this ever since it arrived, every day. It really is a great little swing drill aid and it works in such a simple way. If you take a look at some of Jim Waldron's free videos on the web, you'll get to understand how this tool works and helps you strike the ball better. Removing the wristy hinging from my swing has made a huge difference to my accuracy- for the first time in years I actually feel I know exactly where the ball is going - OK perhaps my execution is off occasionally now, but I'm now 5 yards either side of where I want to be with my drives, so it must be helping. Bottom line - I would have never tried this unless Jim Waldron hadn't recommended it in his eBook. I'd seen this aid around for years and never thought it would help. I was wrong and I've missed out not buying one ten years ago when it could have been helping me to a more accurate, longer, ball strike. It seems a little expensive, but it's worth what it does for the same price as one lesson. Take a look at the Waldron stuff, if that's what you would like to work on, then buy a Swingyde. These are my all time favourite gold tools. Definitely helps but it is a bit expensive for what it is and DVD content is a bit dated - both the content and format. Surely they could update the content and format else drop the price. But I guess you do improve and thus save expensive coaching costs
