Q: how often you need to change this filters

You may change the filters every 6 months if you use 1.5 gal per day. Aquamega filters are specially designed to replace all the filters at once for customer convenience. Aquamega100 filtiration system has been tested and certified by the Water Quality Association according to NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 and the rated capacities are 500 gallon (Chlorine(99.2%) Chloramine(99.2%) reduction) and 300 gallon (Lead(99.8%), VOCs(99.8%). Cyst(99.99%), Turbidity(99.09%) reduction).

Q: Does it filter out the calcium?

Thanks for asking. In order to filter the calcium out, the filtration should be RO not carbon or UF system. This product is based on carbon filter so this cannot filter it out. Have a wonderful day.
