I really do appreciate how easy this lighter is to use. It looks very classy, it’s pretty good size and overall, it just feels nice to use. The lighter quality is very impressive, and the lighter is also very windproof. Pros: It has a very big and nice looking flame right after you refuel it, and it is very, very wind proof. Cons: it runs out of fuel fairly quickly, and you may need pliers to unscrew the thing at the bottom in order to refuel. Also, it gets fuel inside of the case sometimes. Overall, very nice, classy lighter. Very windproof and functional

This is the most cost-effective starter pack I've seen for getting everything you need (lighter, flints, fluid) to have a working Zippo. The lighter itself is not showy and is on the smaller side, so it doesn't have the visual impact, nor can it hold as much fuel as a larger one, but it is a Zippo and produces a good flame. Mine has not leaked so far, BUT it did completely evaporate once between uses -- I don't use it that often -- which the Zippo website confirms can happen. That was a surprise to me since the lighter seems to be more or less airtight, but I guess it isn't. So you have to check the fuel level between uses and fill it up fresh if you're planning on going on a camping trip or something, or you might find that it will produce sparks but no flame. On the whole, owning a Zippo hasn't been as glamorous as I expected LOL. Filling it can be messy, so I'd recommend wearing gloves, or the lighter fluid can get all over your hands and maybe also the floor, and between the flints needing to be changed, etc., it can require a surprising amount of maintenance.

I'm mostly writing this as a follow up to a review I read on Amazon where the reviewer was complaining after 3 weeks almost running out of the kit fluid and having to refill his Zippo often I too smoke a pack a day or a carton every ten days and because of that review I was concerned to buy this Zippo. But I did anyway and when I got it I filled it once until drops of fluid fell and decided I wouldn't write a review until I had to refill it again or until I felt I had sent it through it's paces. And I was more than prepared to send it back if it didn't behave up to standards Well after smoking through a carton of cigarettes (more than 200 cigarettes) I'm still on that first fill and it's been 10 days so maybe he got a defective Zippo because mine doesn't suffer from premature evaporation and I haven't had to refill it a second time yet I've owned several Zippos in my life but no stores around me carry genuine Zippos only fake Zippos, lighter fluid, and flints and I would rather shop on Amazon than go to Walmart. And I've never had a problem with a Zippo So long story short or rather long story long the Zippo I received looks and behaves like I expect a Zippo would. I love the chrome, the 4 oz fluid will last me a couple months and I didn't really need flints but thank you anyway. I would suggest that if you do order this kit and you find yourself refilling your Zippo after a few days then either it's something you're doing wrong or you should consider sending it back as Zippos have a lifetime guarantee on them to work or be fixed for free. Mine works as I expected and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another off Amazon.
