It is white color matching with the switch color. It comes with extra double face adhesive. You control it through switchbot app. There is a remote purchased seperatly to control it if u wish. Effective and working as described this is a new purchase I don't know yet if it will break or any defects will happen before you peel the adhesive position it over the switch and see if it fits nicely then glue it to the switch

I've bought this device twice and its so satisfying and easy to install. Totally recommend as it closes the switch from the phone

Applicability is insane, only things is to connect to automation need the hub

I am using switch bot bot, hub mini and pan/tilt camera. So far, we like the performance. I am enjoying the ability to see my 4 installed cameras at once while having the capability to pan/tilt camera at the same time. Switchbot bot is pretty useful as well. We can press lots of buttons remotely. I have some appliances that are quite primitive such as light switches, water keetle and central AC remote that I can't replace with a smart thermostat due to my landlord's rules in my UAE apartment. These are the parts where bot becomes handy. And so far it never fails. I use hub mini at my home in Indonesia to control split AC and to act as a tv remote control at once. And it works like a charm. I do hope switchbot would create more home automation and home security products in the future. Keep up the good work!

Note this is only bluetooth operated switch to connect with alexa need to buy hub also separately.

I tried it with two light switches a room switch and a doorbell switch to test the two modes of that button. PROS: * It worked as expected * It has two working modes 1. Pressing: It just press on the button for some seconds and then release it (you can control the press delay however even when you set the delay for 0 seconds it will still have some delay) 2. Switching: You can use this mode with switches that requires manual switch on and off. * The button has other cool features which I didn't test it like: 1. you voice control but you need a switchbot hub for it 2. you can control over wifi again you will need a switchbot hub 3. you can schedule to turn on/off switches CONS: * It sticks so hard to the wall, I can imagine that it can damage the wall. I tried on the plastic frame of my switch and when I tried to remove the button it came out with the switch frame. * It doesn't look great on switches * The button always turn off and gets disconnected!! I have to remove the battery every time to restart! so it is not reliable by any means. Being unreliable and getting disconnected frequently, turned it from a great gadget to totally useless pricy gadget that got stick to my switch that I'm afraid to remove it again to avoid any damage.

It helped us with the water heater switch. We don't waste money on electricity by keeping the water heater on. We just set a time for it to come on when we want to shower every morning. Its so easy and simple to set up too.

It’s good but something I hate abt this is it’s not wi-fi powerd you need to buy a hub for the wi-fi powerd ones and some times it just disconnected and the range in the non wi-if powerd ones are bad but it’s a still good thing bc I don’t need get off my bed just close the light

In my case, I have two Chamberlain garage door openers.On both of them the Wi-Fi board has failed. That board is $159 each on Amazon. For $20 I was able to make an aluminum bracket Mount this above my garage door opener and now I can open both doors from my phone just like I did with that ridiculous myQ Chamberlain software. Switchbot does have a battery, but works perfectly. I spent $45 to save $300!

The product is very good and useful, but we need to have a flat surfaced special switch and socket panel to stick the bot, will not be useful for old Indian switch panels.

It wasn’t fun playing twister every time I wanted to get to the power switch it was a long reach and in a awkward position so I decided to use a switch bot and a hub so I can just get my speaker to turn it on and off for me. You set up a name For the switch in the app and connect it to the hub and whatever you name it for example “switchy” you say turn switch off or vice versa and within seconds the push button is pressed and bob’s ya uncle. When I can afford it I’ll add a physical button or two, one in the living room another in the hall and I can press the button more easily. The bot itself has a battery and is replaceable and is supposed to last a year but I’ve not that it that long yet but it’s easy enough to remove and install, the cover just pops off and away you go. No more reaching for annoying hard to get to buttons and when your half asleep at night you don’t want to wake up enough to hunt for the button and Then stretch really far. It saves time and effort.
