Game changer
Amazing for my frail, elderly and disabled mum. A great way of her contacting family when she isnt up to talking to the Alexa. Makes her so much safer.

Couldn’t connect it - sent it back.
I’m pretty sure I did everything right, and I have more Smart Home devices than most people dream about (or have nightmares about, depending on your view on Smart Home devices).I downloaded the Flic app.I created an accountI linked the Flic skill in AlexaI had Bluetooth enabled (as per the Flic App’s instruction)I pressed ”+” in the Flic app.I pressed and held the Flic button and the red light flashedNothing - couldn’t/wouldn’t connect.I put a new battery in the Flic button and repeated the “+” function.Nothing - still couldn’t/wouldn’t connect.I packed up the Flic button, put it back in the box, returned it, deleted the Flic app.I have to say that at £30 a pop, it’s pretty expensive for what it is, so I’m kinda glad it didn’t work.At the same time I’m kinda frustrated that after all this time, it’s still beyond the wit of man (or Flic) to make a device that connects first time and just works.Flic, couldn’t you have implemented it using the “universal” Tuya/Smartlife app?

Pity it only works through bluetooth
It works well, but really I wish it would function directly through my wifi rather than through my phone's bluetooth or a special bluetooth hub.

Get them! Ignore the poor negative reviews
I have purchased 10 of these Flic 2 buttons to use around my home and in my car. I have the Flic Hub too, all of which work absolutely fine, I never had issues with the hub, buttons or the app. I am not sure why there are so many negative reviewers. One has stated the battery cannot be replaced. This is not true you can. I have been using these buttons for well over a year and have yet to replace a battery. I did receive one button in my pack, which did not work, I emailed support then they offered me a huge discount on my next order to make up for the fact I had to go a buy a replacement battery for that button. They told me that this is just the case sometimes and is to do with the battery manufacturer and not the Flic button itself. Replaced the battery no problem, issue resolved. These buttons are fully compatible with many smart home services and devices, and have just added support for Alexa routines, I dont use Alexa often, but it is great to have this now that IFTT has switched to a premium business model, with a monthly subscription.Long story short, if you are sick of shouting at your smart home assistant, unlocking your phone to turn the lights on or anything else for that matter, just get them.I have mine, on the coffee table controlling AC, TV, Kettle and lights as well as media lights. In the kitchen controlling lights, the kettle, and outdoor lighting. My bedside, for turning off all lights, setting alarms and arming my camera system, in my car for opening my garage door and a quick way of getting my phone to call my partner and in many more convenient places.Get creative :) Keep up the good work Flic!!

Basically needs a hub to function autonomously.
Seems to be a good idea but needs a hub if you want it to work independently of you mobile phone. Disappointed that information on the selling site is not clear. You can make it work but your phone needs otbe on and above all I around the premises.

Well made but don’t forget the hub for matter
When deciding what I wanted to buy I didn’t realise these needed the hub too in order to use matter. This also means the buttons don’t show in your HomeKit app, you have to choose their actions within the Flic app.

Lacking compatibility
Firstly, the physical product is excellent. Very sleek. The problem is the software. Flic seem to be trying to force the Flic app to be the center of your smart home, rather than seamlessly integrating into existing smart architecture, such as smatthings or home assistant. If you run extremely basic setups, this may be for you. Otherwise, don't bother. The fact they operate on Matter is practically meaningless too.
