Q: Is this the dreadful new (watery) formulation or the older (much better) gel?

It’s dreadful and the smell has changed. I just got mine delivered yesterday and each one had a cap full of watery gel so I guess I lose 1/3 of my product before I even open them!

Q: Why is the new deodorant so watery

It has nothing to do with "oxygen". It's because Mitchum has adopted the new American business strategy: LIE, CHEAT, STEAL. If it's watery and spills or gobs on, you use it up faster. In addition to the watery slop, it's now got a hundred holes in the top so you'll squirt more out. I Emailed them weeks and weeks ago about it and heard NOTHING back, like Ray.

Q: I use the unscented gel and it takes so long to dry it ruins shirts. What to do?

I had the same issue until I decide to apply directly after taking shower and drying-off. After I was dry I applied the gel and then continued with other grooming (brushing hair etc.) by the time, it was time to put on my shirt, the gel was dry. I hope this helps.

I do not know what the difference is in the formulation. If the women's version is scented, perhaps you are having a reaction to the chemical scent agent? I have never had a reaction to any Mitchum product, however, it is worth noting that antiperspirants work by clogging the sweat ducts and preventing the sweat from coming out, thus keeping you dry. As opposed to deodorants which simply mask bad smells. The chemicals used to stop the sweating can cause some mild irritation in some people. While Mitchum has always been great for me and my sensitive skin, you may want to try another product with a different formulation.
