could I use this for a sewing machine table?

What material is the work surface

The work surface is made of lacquered particle board. The table is EXTREMELY durable & sturdy. This table is by far weak in any fashion. I additionally ordered a cutting mat, for other projects that involve cutting. If you are just going to be drawing/drafting the surface is an excellent table. I couldn't believe the quality of this table, in fact I ordered more for my family, we all draw & paint. My son even stood on the table he's 5'9" & 180lbs. the tilting mechanism is solid steel/brass and will not come off slant even with shaking. Great buy I recommend this table to all artist. Please tell me about the white maple wood. Is it a hard wood. Will there be drawing dents in it over time? Real wood can get marked up

The wood is hard wood. I have not had any dents so far. I usually have a large hard sketch board between the table and the paper so maybe thats the reason. All and all its a nice table, I even have a lamp mounted on it.

Can this table be used for technical drawing

This table is designed for the customer that likes to do crafts and light drawing. Technical drawing is very precise and would need a table suitable for that.
