It works well, but really is too expensive for what it is.

Excellent. Gets a bottle of cheap white down from room temp to drinkable in minutes. A must have for all those who insist on buying stuff that isn't normally kept in the fridge your local off licence.My wife just asked why I put "cheap " white - if we could afford the proper stuff we'd also probably have a special fridge for it, and I wouldn't be buying it warm from Spar in the first place.

The chill power of this is not as mighty as the blurb would have you believe. It's more like 10 minutes to get a room-cool bottle to a nicely chilled temp. (Yes, I *can* an wait that extra 5 minutes) For me, it doesn't really get as chilled as I'd like, amd probably keeps it at that nice cool temp for about 1h15m12s (not hours). The ideal solution is to chill the wine in a fridge for at about 30min and then this thing really does a nice job. It knocks it down to a very crisp temp and keeps it there until the bottle is finished. Too long in the fridge and adding the Wine Cooler around the bottle will make the wine a little over chilled IMHO.

Had several of these over the years and always keep one in the freezer for those times I forget to put a white in the fridge. Brilliant, cools a bottle of wine from room temperature to chilled in only 5 minutes or so (make sure you invert the bottle a few times to mix). Will even fit (tightly!) a wider bottle of champagne if you wiggle it on carefully, but it takes a bit longer to chill. Also good for taking in a cool bag on picnics.

As someone who doesn't drink wine that often, and whose fridge is about 3 feet from the sofa, I didn't feel the need for a wine cooler. However, since returning to nursing school, I've found that having a cooled bottle of wine in my study has greatly improved my motivation to study

I bought this in January 19 and have used it once a week since then; does the job perfectly well until it developed a leak and this gloopy liquid emerged at the base of the bottle. Had to dispose of it and now bought a more expensive product to replace it. It ought to last a minimum of a year, and I would have liked to get a replacement or refund but there doesn't seem any way to get recompense.
