Q: What is the colour of the inside of the box?

Silver. But wallpapers are given of various shades. The lights are not powerful enough. So not happy with the purchase personally.

Q: Can you take pictures from the bottom as well for a low profile object?

Depends on the wide angle lens you have as there is no cut out to place the camera from out if u want to place the cam outside. Once if you have the lighting set u can shoot from top( lighting set on sides ) or from the side ( lighting set on top)
