This thing was worth every penny. The flame looks real enough and can change colors. You can go without the heat setting and it’s completely silent. When you turn the heater on there’s slightly more sound but it doesn’t bother me. And it puts out a nice amount of heat!! So happy with this purchase.

I bought this as a backup plan after we had to tear down our original wood fireplace chimney and firebox and found that no gas fireplace units would fit in the existing opening. Honestly, I'm super happy with the look and operation of this thing. It's fairly realistic when the color is set to red/orange and will put out 750/1500W of heat of needed. The fan is pretty quiet (just like a small space heater) as well. The various optional colors of flames are fun too, my wife loves the blue/green blend. Remote is simple and effective with separate button for each function that will cycle through the options. Anyway, installation was straight forward, mine was only a little more interesting due to my exact situation, but still quite easy.

This fireplace makes me happen. Lots of beautiful colors to choose from. Easy to install and fire looks realistic to me. Even throws out a decent amount of heat to take the chill off a small room.

This was easy to install warms up a large room very well. The colors are amazing. It is a great product.

This fireplace is pretty with several colors and a remote, and the heat comes out a top strip which is nice. The “wood” could be more realistic with defined logs, and the flames move too fast. I haven’t tried the crystals. For us, we wanted to insert it into our fireplace, so it’s a bit of a challenge we haven’t yet conquered. When it says wall mount, it means it! It needs to go in an existing hole with adequate support, so you would have to be ready to cut that out and have it ready. We will have to build something, not sure what yet, to make it work in our fireplace, so it’s still sitting on our floor below our TV stand.

It felt somewhat flimsy, and I worried about its long-term reliability. 5. **Noisy Operation:** The electric fireplace insert produced a noticeable humming sound during operation, which was distracting and disruptive to the ambiance of the room. 6. **Difficult Installation:** Installing this unit was more complicated than expected. It required professional assistance, which added to the overall cost. 7. **Value for Money:** Given its limitations and issues, I felt that the 50 Inch Electric Fireplace Insert was overpriced for what it offered. There are more effective and aesthetically pleasing electric fireplaces available at a similar or lower cost. In summary, I was disappointed with the 50 Inch Electric Fireplace Insert due to its inadequate heating, lack of a realistic flame effect, limited control options, durability concerns, noisy operation, and the overall value for money. If you're looking for an electric fireplace, I would recommend exploring other options that offer better performance and features.

Packaged very well. Easy to install. Plugs into a standard outlet. Comes with both the fake log and clear stones. I prefer the log but nice to have options. You can turn on the fake flames without the heat. Heats up my sunroom very quickly and doesn't take long to cool down. I thought it would be a lot louder than it is considering I was using a tower heater that was a lot louder than the fireplace is. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to either heat a room or help set a mood.

This 50" unit replaced a similar sized Gibson electric fireplace that was very noisy and had burnt out lights after maybe 20 hrs of use. This one arrived quickly, well packaged, and installed easily. It has realistic flames, and is very very quiet when the heater fan is on. Remote works well, and the thermostat is a nice feature. For the money, cant go wrong and is a huge upgrade in quality and appearance to the piece of junk Gibson Living that its replacing.
