Agreed, they’re a PITA to open but I found if you take scissors and just cut a small snip at the top, in the center, you will be able to get a grip on one side of it and pull it straight down to open without any crumbling. I just matched what they did and I can snip all of them in one shot without actually opening them.As for people saying it caused a UTI, they don’t. You are getting UTI’s from dryness, particularly during menopause. If you’re starting out with a UTI, get rid of that first with antibiotics. If antibiotics give you a yeast infection, remedy that next. Then go straight to addressing the problem with these. Matter of fact, you can use these during treatment too.It can take up to 4 weeks before you’re straightened out as this condition didn’t happen overnight but it will heal with these if that’s the problem and remember, hormone fluctuations happen to everybody. I’m a perimenopausal/menopausal woman with severe dryness issues. I’ve used SO many products with little to no success. I’ve tried other brands, like replens, and I find this works better for me. It doesn’t leave some questionable gunk coming out your hooha. It does melt fairly quickly. Best to insert while lying in bed before you go to sleep for the best consumption. Make sure you have a pad or something for leakage as it can stain. It’s smooth and clear. Helped with my atrophy after my hysterectomy but may not work for everyone as everyone’s body is different. Can insert by hand or buy some applicators. Applies a good level of lubrication for intercourse as well. I recommend this product.
