No. The carrier has only three (3) openings -- the top, the screened end, and the side which folds up and is secured with velcro.

Depends on the Sheltie. Breed standard for the Shetland Sheepdog is between 13” - 16” at the shoulder. The 24” crate is is 16.5” tall, the 32” crate is 23” tall. Perhaps choose based on what you think would be most comfortable for your dog when it is standing in the crate. You can opt for the largest crate if you want (40” crate is 27” tall) but it’s intended for the larger breeds.
