Q: is it ok to leave it in the bladder and place in the freezer like that instead of transferring it back and forth?

I do exactly that and never had a problem. I’ve used this hyperice for about a year now. The bladder is holding up well. I’ve never had a leak. I do handle it carefully when I place it in the freezer. I keep it as flat as possible. After a couple of major surgeries, and a total knee replacement, the ice and bladder are holding up well. Q: Does this come with the bladder?

No...If you buy either braces..Knee, shoulder etc those come with a bladder. The Hyper ice is sold individually, and as well in a package deal.

Q: How many of the knee ice packs will one container fill?

It fills one fully. You could possibly use it for two, but I'm not sure how well it'd work coverage wise.
