Very effective dye… too effective for what I wanted, but I can’t fault the product for that
This dye was very effective, and very very dark brown, almost black. It soaked into the veg tanned leather deeply, dried, and the leather was still nice and flexible, with no color rub off. However, I wanted some of the color to rub off for a worn look, and even after sanding the sides of my belt, they still burnished dark brown. So if you’re hoping the color will rub off a little, it will not. I used the method of spraying the dye on my belt with a fine mist sprayer and it worked pretty well for even coverage. Maybe the color would have been a little lighter if I had used a wool dauber. My gloves were goat leather and they definitely dyed black when I wanted brown. They just absorbed too much dye, at least with the spray method. But the pro dye works phenomenal other than that!

Easy to use and a gorgeous blue
The media could not be loaded. Redyed the scabbard and grip from original ugly brown to this dark blue! Easy and great results

Easy to use
I live in California, and this says "not legal for sale in California on the side of the label" but I got it without any problems (UPS ground). I wanted to dye a leather bracelet that was originally pale blue with a metallic effect; I used acetone to take off the blue and was pleasantly surprised it removed all the color, back down to the brown leather. I then applied the royal blue dye, three coats, with a Q-tip. It came out very dark; it's more purple than blue, but very very very dark purple. Not really distinguishable from black. I put three coats of Resolene on top of that, and the color stayed the same; rubbing it with a cloth resulted in some royal blue dye transferring to the cloth, but the leather itself remained dark purple. I'm not unhappy with the results; the color is even and looks good. It just doesn't look royal blue.

Just like new
My motorcycle jacket had turned white in places. I used the deglazer and Pro Dye. It was easy and I am very happy with the results. Much less expensive than a new coat.

Excellent for leather and other surfaces!
This works well with leather and other fibrous items. I use this for many things, dried floral, wood working and fabric.

Fantastic!
I had an expensive purse that I got a water stain on. I decided to dye it a darker color, because the stain was so bad I couldn't use it as it was. I was really nervous, and wondered if I would ruin it for good. I did buy some cotton daubers to use to apply it. I was amazed at how even this went on and it dries so fast. I am so happy with how this turned out and I think this purse is beautiful again and I can use it again! And I really like this color better than the original. This is a great dye and you will not be sorry you bought it!A tip: I also bought the deglazer from Fiebings and used it on the purse before applying the dye.

very good results
The Pro Dye is the way to go for me from now on whenever I have to paint around carved and resisted designs. I've been experimenting with different dyes and the Pro Dye is much easier to blend in when you begin to dye the rest of your project. It drove me crazy trying to use the Fiebings Leather Dye to paint around carved sections because it dries way too fast and you can distinctly see a ring around your carved area where you transition over to dying the rest of the project. However, the alcohol based Leather Dye is great if you are dying your entire project one colour; this rapid drying allows you to apply your finish coat pretty much immediately and will give you very good results that way. Using the oil based Pro Dye, all I need to do is allow for greater drying time, but at least I won't be ruining carved projects anymore. I sure wish someone had explained that to me before and that is why I'm taking time to make this distinction in this review. One colour, sure, use Leather Dye no problem. Blending in different areas, way better to use the Pro Dye.

Excellent shoe dye
Wow, this shoe dye is excellent. It has restored a couple of pairs of shoes for my mother plus a handbag which looks like new. Will definitely recommend and use again.
