THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PRODUCT.. but I am very suspicious regarding the weight
Hi So to be very clear, there is as far as I can tell nothing wrong with this product, it came in the original heavy paper bag, it in no way looks tampered with and I have every intention of using it. It just that since I bought this in response to the orders to stay at home, I am 65 and I really don't want to risk being out and about if I don't have to. So while I did not need a 50lb bag of flour it was the only reasonably priced available version of the product that I could get. I put it into 2 gallon zip lock bags and for no particular reason I stopped at 10lbs per bag. Of course I lost some in the transition, but not 2lbs worth. At most I can account for about 1/2lb of waste. Do I care if I only got 48 lbs instead of 50. No, but if I were purchasing this routinely I would be suspicious going forward.Yes I did check my scale, it just a kitchen scale. I was not fully scientific it was easy to way 2 quarts of water, and it did weigh 4lbs, so I don't think its my scale. Anyway just saying....

15 year old flour
I needed flour during the covid 19 pandemic. I paid $100 for fifty pounds. It arrived in about a week. It was boxed by amazon. The bag was 2 ply paper which was dry and in good condition. Using gallon size bags, I made 10 five pound bags by using a small pan to scoop out of the flour bag. ***** I understand that flour can be stored indefinitely, however the date on the side was ‘05 DEC 8. Not only was I price gouged, the flour appears to be 15 years old. I’ll use it because it looks fine and is a brand name, but I’m Writing this review to make others aware.

Just what I needed
When I purchased this, it was being price gouged. But, we needed bread, and it was available when nothing else was. I am grateful to have it, even at a higher price. The quality was perfect. I was worried there might be bugs with such a large quantity, so I repackaged it on arrival, and it was perfect. I'm very pleased with the quality. It was about $2/pound. So, when we had fresh homemade pizza tonight, it cost perhaps a dollar more than it would have before this crisis. It was still much cheaper than restaurant purchased pizza or store bought bread would have been. It is good to have flour to feed our family during challenging times.

price is ridiculous!
I just paid 9.99 for 25 lbs. No excuse for this.

Best Flour I've ever used
I've now baked four loaves of bred, a batch of cookies, and three types of gravy using this flour. It has had the best results of any flour I've ever used. Loaves of bread are light with a crunchy yet chewy crust. The chocolate chip cookies were and are three days later, crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. I heartily endorse this flour.
